As of today, all YOSMS and other travelling caches have been archived by Groundspeak.

Don't you just love Geocaching.com. As always, listening to the people that pay their wages. 🤡

They've also archived the Cuckoo cache  :(

Surprised there hasn't been more of a 'revolt'? All seems quiet in the YOSM page (you'd expect lots of notes etc!).

All the Archived caches have been locked by Groundspeak.

Seems that they don't know their own cache types...

Locationless.
Find 'something' eg a Triangulation Pillar.
Make it a 'Cache'
The next cacher has to find another Triangulation Pillar and add the coordinates.
The next cacher has to find a third Triangulation Pillar...
Previously found and logged Triangulation Pillars can not get you a 'Found' log.

Virtual Cache.
Go to coordinates and provide the required information.
Same thing can be found by many cachers.

YOSM is an oddity in that it IS a Virtual, but the coordinates can be changed, and previous coordinates can still be logged as a find...
Had a new cache age been set up for each Pillar, would things be diffrent?

As for "Pocket Cache"
Do YOU want to walk around with this all day?

Also Archived in the cull is Lighthouse Hunt - Brighton/Shoreham-on-Sea https://coord.info/GCH600
Which, despite saying "Moving Cache" in the description, has always been the same Light House in Shoreham...  :(

Aren't Groundspeak breaking their own rules - aren't Lab Caches virtual and to boot, very short lived  ::)
