ACT #35 - Bonus
« on: April 02, 2012, 01:49:14 pm »
Well, *planning* to do this series tomorrow, but don't understand what you need to collect for the bonus:

This is what it says:

Write each combination in the grid below

Combination =   1   2   3   4
A
B
C
D
E

Using the above matrix fill in the boxes below to reveal to co-ordinates

    -   C1   A1   B4   D4   D1   C3   A4
Answer = N   -       °            .

            A1   E4   C2   D2   D3   E2
Answer = W   0   0   °            .

Help me please  ??? What do I need to do on the trail (see TJ has found it)

Also, is the series any good?

I can honestly say I cannot remember what format the bonus clues took, but it must have been fairly straight forward or I would remember it. I can however remember where the bonus is so if you struggle ring me on 07855 240888.

The walk is OK if you like that part of the world, it all gets a bit samey if you ask me. Once you have done one walk on the Ridgeway you aren't going to see anything different. Good walk if you like horses and big riding stable estates.

Have a nice day  ;D

Thank you  ;D

Still deciding on which one to do, saving Hobditch Hunt for later in the holidays... looks like it could be ACT tomorrow though! Have found quite a few loops in that area actually, but I do enjoy walking along the ridgeway - but I agree, it's all fairly the same  :D

Any other suggestions for a big(is) loop with quite a few caches on? Feeling like an all day trip tomorrow with at least 25 finds to kick off the Easter break...

These 3 series are all fairly close together and do-able in one day (We managed it)

They are by Bailey Rangers, look at their profile for all their favourite points.

 ;D - Looks good, been hearing a lot of good things about BR caches.

Will see which one my dad wants to do, if it is the ACT series, is the bonus en-route back to where you started (#1)? Or do you have to divert onto other footpaths?

You have to divert onto a different path, not too bad though as you don't have to move the car

Hmmm, wonder where it could be  ???

I'll try and spot a stone and a tree on Google aerial to get a rough idea ;) :D

Don't know if I'll even be going caching tomorrow now, due to some last minute circumstances. May not even be able to get out for another week!

Fingers crossed that I will though....  :D ;D

I am trying to persuade him - trust me, I'll dig out the snow with my hands to get out! You can just imagine how hard it is to get out of here in the snow/ice, and even more frustrating when my dad had promised me 100+ caches to be found during the holidays, nothings going to stop me  ;) :D ;D

Seems like I'm going  ;D

Problem is, by the time we leave it could be 10:00, so a start at 11:00 is risky. Still, most of it seems bikeable, so we'll try our best to zip round it by 18:00... wish us luck  :D

If you are doing the BR series of caches Griff,and you are short of time,make sure you do the series with the Fairy Door cache.its definitely the best circuit  :D
