Low Balloon over Rissington
« on: July 26, 2013, 11:13:18 pm »
As people have asked me to upload a picture of the hot air balloon I saw this morning while walking the dogs, here are a few of them:

The balloon was coming down and looked like it was going to land in the farmers field next to Sandy Lane:

It nearly landed or does touching the cereal crop count as landed (see inset picture):

The balloon gained height and set off over the village crossing the road rather low:

Wow, some great photos  ;D - thanks for uploading them  :)

A hot air balloon landed in the field by our (old) house once, it looked like in the third photo as it flew over us, then it was getting lower and lower as it flew across some woodland. We went to see if they'd landed, and indeed they had, about 0.5 miles into the field. They came and said hello, and we had a chat with them  :) I seem to remember they'd flown from Bourton, too?

Very good photos! :)

I wonder if they were thinking about landing there, but then decided not to at the last moment so as not to anger the farmer. If so, nothing like leaving to the very last moment ;D
