Best place to see a Kingfisher that I know of is the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust reserve - Knapp and Papermill, near Alfrick.  There's a hide opposite where they nest, not been for a long time though.  One or two nice caches near there to, Bramble Island (the original was fun).
