When a cache hosting site like geocaching.com becomes as large as it has, they need to cover their costs somehow, and so I have voted yes. There may be better ways they could go around it, maybe a blanket fee that everyone has to pay but being much lower than it is now? Ultimately that specific company (groundspeak) is just that, a company out to make money, not to just cover their costs though.

Obviously I would rather it was free, but most clubs/associations charge for membership. I am in Scouting which charges membership, I pay to play skittles each week. It is up to us to decide whether we want to be in the club and pay for it's particular benefits.

Now there's an idea - we make a club with one PM and we all use that one PM :)

So, what rules will we need ::)

It's going to be darn hard to organise a club when we can't talk about it. I guess that's why it hasn't been done before :D

Out of the 3 dates given I have opted for the 5th, however I am unlikely to attend any of the 3 due to prior arrangements. Does it have to be on a Sunday, there are other days in the week which most people are off over the festive period. (Yes, I know some people work in retail)

Yes, there probably are, but no one has expressed any other dates in the Twixmas thread  :-\ Feel free to add any more dates you think could be possible (remember moderator's can edit polls). Hopefully this poll will help find a date to suit the majority  :)

Only one of those dates is actually a Twixmas date, and its the only 1 of the 3 we can make. We would be open for other dates around that time.

I have not voted yet. I will talk with my better half over the weekend, and look at the work Rotas before I do. I know that I am on call for one of the weeks over the Christmas period, but can't remember without checking. I was trying not to think that far ahead, but I guess it's not really that long now.

Please let us know of the other dates and we can add them to the poll!  :) Just didn't want to include any Saturday's as Wrighty works then.

At the moment, I'm not going to the event  :'(
