General Caching / What grinds my gears
« on: May 20, 2013, 05:47:56 pm »
Why do people feel the need to put in extra caches on a series.

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC4CE1T

I shall probably now never do this cache as I don't really see the point of re-walking the series as there are so many others that I need to do for the first time.

Caching Gear/ Tech Talk / OS maps

I apologise for asking what may be a completely stupid question but I am not very computer savvy.

I have OS maps on my Oregon (on a micro SD card), is there any way I can use these maps on an iphone?

General Caching / Cache Log
« on: May 06, 2013, 07:51:04 pm »
Take a look at the most recent log on this cache. Don't think I would want to have to write this log or receive it on one of my caches.

A new series by Colesbourne, the scenery is fantastic and the paths are really good. One to definitely add to your to do list.

Off Topic / Long shot
« on: April 29, 2013, 10:10:35 pm »
Right, this is a long shot. But if you don't ask you don't get.

Our Scout troop has 4 sites that we use on a rota for our week long Summer Camp(Swanage, Cheddar, Woolacombe & Portsmouth); that way a Scout will never go to the same site twice. Unfortunately our Woolacombe camp site is unavailable this year due to bridge repairs, we are therefore looking for ideas of where to go.

We have simple needs, we are trained up to Greenfield standard so all we actually need is a field, drinking water would be a bonus but not essential.

So if anyone knows of someone who has a suitable site that we can go in the southern half of the country (the cheaper the better) or if you have been to a site that has an event field that can accommodate 20ish tents then let me know.

Thanks for looking

General Caching / Geocaching Maps
« on: April 17, 2013, 10:25:21 pm »
I seem to be having trouble with Geocaching maps where I am unable to select or click on a cache. I have tried on Firefox and IE, both without luck.

Anyone else having any problems   ??? ???

Dr Solly robot arm

Have any of you seen this one and more importantly can you get it to work. If you want the username and password let me know as I have solved the questions. I can only get the light to switch on and off.

What's going on

I really can't be bothered to decide what is going on here, perhaps someone could tell me if these finds are permanent or not.
