New cache just released. I have been here many, many times and I know the answers. Do I need to re-visit it after the publication date or can I just claim it with my historic knowledge.

Your thoughts???

General Caching / 10 mile radius
« on: September 27, 2015, 09:18:52 pm »
In honour of WT clearing his 10 miles radius of caches. How about we post pictures of our own 10 mile map

This is mine, just 294 to go ;D . Including one 200 yards from work and the closest to home a mere 1.3 miles away.

General Caching / New 5/5 cache
« on: January 04, 2015, 06:12:04 pm »
As some of you are aware I have been falling out of trees today in the quest for some FTF's. I never actually attempted my main goal of the day due an arguement with gravity.

However, this 5/5 I was after was off the footpath by some 30 - 40 metres. I sent the CO a message asking if permission had been gained and that reference should be put on the cache page.

He has now changed the description, I don't think it will stand scrutiny from a reviewer.

This is the cache page as it currently stands

I am sure I am missing something obvious, is there anyway to see what messages I have sent to other cachers via the Geocaching messaging system.

General Caching / Upset the locals
« on: February 22, 2014, 06:57:57 pm »
I thing I may have upset the Worcestershore/Warwickshire locals. There is a new cache http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4XYQD_stop-whining?guid=1fcb97e8-73a3-4816-9eab-d887c19c8490 just been released that you have to find some TB's to get the co-ords for the cache. Now it just so happened that the 1st two TB's to be released gave me pretty much the location of the cache, after looking at Memory Map.

Should I feel guilty for finding the cache after finding only 2 of the 6 required TB's or is it just the way the cookie crumbles.

General Caching / Picking off counties
« on: February 08, 2014, 04:16:15 pm »
I am travelling up to Gateshead next month so am planning on taking the opportunity to find a cache in all the counties up the right hand side of the country.

I might be missing something obvious but is there an easy way to see what caches are in which counties?

Caching Events / 2014 Mega - Ayr (past event)
« on: February 03, 2014, 10:29:34 am »
Has anyone made any plans about this years Scottish Mega.

I was planning on going up for 3 - 4 days but all the cottage bookings are for a week only. I would take the tent but Mrs TJ doesn't do camping. I think it will have to be a B & B/hotel, probably best to book it sooner rather than later.

Caching Events / Next CW event
« on: January 03, 2014, 08:35:38 pm »
Not saying too much at the moment but I have just planned the next event for 27th April 2014. It is nice and local to the Evesham area in an area that some of us know well.

Try and keep the date free, there will be a nice walk as well.

Caching Gear/ Tech Talk / Firefox HTML code help
« on: January 02, 2014, 06:34:02 pm »
I am trying to write a cache page and HTML code isn't high on the list of things I am good at. In the past I seem to remember right clicking on the cache page and I was able to open a webpage editor that would automatically compile the HTML code as I built the page.

It was like a Microsoft Word page where I could import pictures etc and move them around, change fonts and lots of other stuff.

Unfortunately I can't remember what it was called and I have now got a new laptop. Can any techie people shed any light (from my bad description) what I am on about.

Caching Gear/ Tech Talk / Memory Map in iPad
« on: December 16, 2013, 09:50:59 pm »
I have finally got round to purchasing Memory Map 2013 edition. I have installed it on my Laptop and it works OK, I am now trying to get it working on my iPad so that I can use it whether or not I am on-line.

I have followed the instructions on the Memory Map web site but it still doesn't appear to work. Has anybody else done this and if so can they give me any pointers.

Thanks
