It has only taken 49 days, but my TB has now been dropped since being picked up from the British Library cache, although it is now in the TB graveyard that is Germany.

Mine is on the move again, albeit not very far, just had to delete all of the visited logs between the pick up and drop off.

Just changed my password, I'll know if any of mine are in any lists as they very rarely get found, so any upsurge in finds should alert me :)

Think I'll just set Wherigo's from now on...

I have written a GSAK macro so you can check your qualification for The Somerset Well Rounded Cacher (GC22QHC). As @walktall successfully used this I have now decided to release it into the public domain, it can be downloaded using the link below:

The Somerset Well Rounded Cacher (GC22QHC)

Then you can install it into your GSAK in the normal way.

Any questions or comments please post them on the GSAK forum topic (the link above) so I can keep any issues/fixes all in one place.

Just for fun / Re: Weekly poll

When I was with Talk Talk it used to be around 1-2Mb/s. They were very unhelpful in me troubleshooting the slow speed, that was the best they could do and that was that, so I moved to BT around 2 years ago, I got it cheaper per month, no usage cap and BT sport thrown in for free, the speed jumped up to 6Mb/s immediately. Using the tool that TJ used I now get Download: 7.48 Mb/s, Upload: 0.479 Mb/s which is not too bad at all for my semi rural location, we don't have cable tv in our area so can only go down the phone line route, there are no plans for fibre in my area either, but at least at this speed I can use the catch-up tv services where before it was impossible, we had what Kevin Bacon is currently calling buffer face.

@walktall, sure I can let you have a copy of the macro, I haven't uploaded it to the GSAK master list as I seem to remember there was some code in it specific to me, but I need to check, if you can send me an email through my geocaching profile then I can reply and attach the file, if there is anything that needs editing within the macro I can let you know what it is in the email too.

Not sure how you could prove the D/T at the time of finding? I have written my own macro to do the work for me, this runs against my database of found caches which preserves the D/T at the time of finding, I could run the macro against a fresh database loaded from the 'My Finds' PQ too, just to be on the safe side.

This is the output my macro generates: Somerset Well Rounded Progress

Today I ticked off one more D/T square for my long term attempt at The Somerset Well Rounded Cacher (GC22QHC), still 20 more to go, if only I had registered earlier...

I have a gmail account and use the gmail app on my phone, if an email comes through I get notified immediately, I don't have to manually check for emails, although I don't chase FTF's...

General Caching / Re: What do you count as a 'find'?
« on: January 26, 2015, 01:58:58 pm »
I have 34 YSM finds and have them all as separate rows in GSAK so that the correct placed date, D/T, county etc... are recorded. I have no Lab cache finds as they just seemed like another crackpot idea, I cannot comment on the quality of them having not done one, but cannot understand why they are not included in your stats as they are no longer a new phenomenon.

I also have my GC.com stats turned off and rely on a GSAK macro that I just run, fully automated to upload to my profile so very little required for me to do except kick it off and then click a save button once it has finished doing its number crunching.

As for duplicate logs, other than YSM ones just delete them, then if your milestone caches are important to you simply lock them as described by others earlier in this thread.

So not commercial in the slightest then ;-)

I'd only do the non trad's :-)

I do enjoy geocaching in the snow, below is a log containing photos of a visit to a 2001 placed cache back in January 2013, no snow at the parking level, but things got much whiter on my ascent...
