We were very concerned as a friend [ who has a different type of GPS] claimed that her batteries lasted ' months'!

I'm certainly finding the Garmin fun to use, so far it has helped us to get back onto our route when we have gone wrong, and we get a satellite signal when in woodland which has been a problem when my husband was only using his phone!

Thank you for my birthday good wishes, sadly the years seem to pass more quickly - especially now we have found this wonderful hobby of Geocaching, and such a friendly and helpful group of fellow cachers. Jenny

The latest example is - we received the list from Geocaching of new caches  [ there is a new scouts series in Rugby] the first person to look was on 24th, yet we didn't get the email until today [27th]! This is to a gmail account. Just couldn't understand it.

We get notifications of new caches, but when we look at them they have usually been found [ FTF], so obviously these cachers are notified sooner than us - can anyone throw any light onto why this is please? Thank you Jenny [ Mrs Hogshunters]
