I've found two magazine stashes (the sort that are inappropriate for children to find), some discarded empty handbags (I suspect stolen property, but the Police didn't seem very interested), several cars with steamed up windows, and a couple who were inflagrante al fresco (I had to make a large detour round them to reach the cache).

However the most unusual thing that I found was near a cache in Florida.  I was returning to the car on a boardwalk over some small lakes when I found a sign saying "Beware of Alligators".  Just a few minutes before I had been searching the bushes next to the water! Fortunately I did find the cache  :)

We've got friends coming that weekend. I'll try suggesting that we go here for a pre-lunch walk......  :)

Dave yes me too.  I'm missing several early months for placed month (Jasmer) and it's going to take a while to visit places that still haver those actives months.

Many years ago I drove past the only UK Ape cache late one wet winter evening and decided to keep going home. I've regretted it ever since!

I wasn't going for a particular cache challenge - TBH I've not gone looking for those yet, just wanted to complete the set.

I'm sure this is a silly question, but is there a challenge for this?

Personally I prefer a separate GPSr but since upgrading my smartphone I can now actually find caches with it!

Going in the other direction, Garmin are about to launch an Android based GPS which has everything apart from a phone (but will connect to WiFi). Garmin Monterra. http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/122006-garmin-monterra-outdoor-gps-pictures-and-hands-on

It's even got a smartphone price!

I completed that challenge recently, those particular names were really difficult.  I got:

5beasts in Essex http://coord.info/GC3Q36B
70C near Fleet http://coord.info/GC2TJQ1

That's a very warm welcome, thanks.  The pleasure is all mine  :)  Living in Chippenham means that I qualify for being in Wiltshire rather more easily than the Cotswolds (my boss says that he lives in the Southern Cotswolds despite coming from Highworth near Swindon)!

Unfortunately ill health in my family means that I will be spending less time on GAGB but I hope to connect more with other caching activities, so hope to see you all at an event soon.

Hi all

Nice welcome, thanks  :)

I'm ashamed to say that I've only just found this forum but it seems like a friendly place to spend some time, so: Hello  ;D
