Event listing posted to Reviewers  :)

While creating it, I decided to have the walk start at 10am, meeting up at 9:45am and the Event from 11am to 1:30pm, all this on the 28th December. This is a Community Celebration Event as well as a CacheWalker Twixmas Event  :)

Have an Adventure Lab credit, so started building the AL. The walk will be round the village on good paths and will be about 4 miles, about an hours walk. It can be very windy up here, sitting on top of a hill at 220m. I would like to place a physical bonus cache as well, so looking for a suitable location that the kids will leave it be.

As the 28th is the prefered date, I will make the event this date, starting at 10am till 1pm, this will give time for the optional walk, plus plenty of time for chatting in the hall afterwards, unless people feel they want longer?

AL route - Adventure Lab route.

The village hall does allow dogs in the main hall only, which is the one I'll be booking :)

I'm waiting on HQ to reactivate my second AL but I'm hopeful they will, I do have a fall back plan so there will be a/some new cache/s.

The Monday or Tuesday is easy for me, so I can do either.

Our village hall has recently had a Covid measures inspection by our local County Council and were impressed, which is good  :)

I'll start putting the Event page together, ready for publishing very soon. So any more comments for any one ..... any one?

OK, thought I would see if I can set an AL route with a bonus round our village and have the Event at our village hall.

As Christmas falls on a weekend this year, the bank holidays are on Mon 27th and Tues 28th December. So, I would plan the Event for one of those days at the hall. The main hall is spacious and airy and has a good kitchen for hot drinks or warming mince pies, plenty of parking as well  :)

What do we think (if anyone is listening)?

I've been wondering about it, as I've still got an awarded Community Celebration Event to use - no idea were yet  ???

I see HQ have locked the cache due to incomplete logs or wrongly logged not following the cache guidance  :o

Will be unlocked Monday morning PST time.

Must admit, I noticed some logs without a picture or just a log not following the idea of the cache at all. I wondered what they would do, glad they have taken some action  :)

I made the error of adding it to my Watchlist a while ago, so there were hundreds of logs in my inbox yesterday  :o - I spotted yours :)

I nearly did that but thought of all the messages you would suddenly get!

Decided I would claim this locationless cache on the first day you could, 6th Feb 21 and make it my 9000th find  ;D 8)

The bus shelter near home has been in need of a clean for ages, in fact it's been bugging me, mentioned it to the Parish Council who should be looking after it but they weren't interested :o So I rolled up my sleeves and with some warm soapy water, got to it  ;D

Had some one directing me to bits I had missed  :D

General Caching / Lockdown from 5th Jan 2021
« on: January 04, 2021, 11:43:23 pm »
Updated 04/01/21 - England - National Lockdown

England - The UK Government on the 4th January 2021 announced new National Covid 19 Restrictions which will come into force 00:01 on the 5th January in England. In light of these new regulations, the UK Reviewing Team will suspend the publication of new caches in England from 00:01 5th January. This suspension will be reviewed when the Governments advice changes.

During this period we will also pause the cache reaping process in England. Caches that have a maintenance warning will not be actioned during this period.

There is no immediate need to disable caches, but it is of course up to each Cache Owner. We see no need to lock all caches. Please remember that it is against the Geocaching guidelines to allow a cache to be virtually logged e.g. by photo (unless a Virtual Cache). Allowing these types of logs is against the guidelines and may result in a cache being archived where it has been allowed. If you disable your caches, without removing them, you cannot delete logs if the logbook has been signed.

For further information on the English Coronavirus Guidelines, please visit the Government Website here.

Please continue to refer to this page for the latest Geocaching Publication updates during the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Because I published mine before the deadline, I've now been awarded another set of 5, to be published by the 15th Dec - this could be tricky and if I want a Bonus cache, it'll have to be right to the wire now GC England have decided to suspend new caches during lockdown :o
