Title: The Podcache Show
Post by: Griff Grof on May 05, 2012, 09:55:40 am
We've all heard about Podcacher, and various others, but some people find it irritating that it's American-based, though sometimes they do share "stories from around the world" - it is still, in my opinion, one of the best out there!  ;D

But what about us in the UK? Well, now we have The Podcache Show - A light-hearted look at Geocaching in the UK  :)

The hosts/producers are the Amasons, and they do a great job putting out a new, high quality show every month - yesterday they released episode 8 - which covered their experience at a pillow fight flash mob  :o Made me laugh a few times  :D ;)

We can talk about new shows here, and if you haven't heard it already, do - it really is great, and covers the UK, there is at least one interview every show, with caching names we actually recognise  8)

Thanks very much for the mention Griff Grof, it is much appreciated. The plan for future shows is to do interviews at any events we attend as well as talking to cachers that catch our eye!
If any of you are going to be at the Wild West Christmas Event and the Geolympix, come and say hello.

Would be great to use this thread for show discussion once some of us have.

Released a few days earlier than normal as we are off to the Olympics at the weekend. In our latest episode we visit the Geolympix in Oxford where we speak to SMS Text who has just reached 100 5/5 finds. We meet Adrian aka Figures who celebrates his 10,000th find and we attend a breakfast event in Nottingham and speak to several cachers who hide difficult and high D/T caches. We also interview a man in a gorilla suit.

In our seventeenth episode, we speak to North East Geocaching Supplies and Tracey attends a couple of events locally. Pete is sent out caching whilst Tracey hosts a ‘party’. There’s news of the 2013 Bank Job TB Race and a planned event for the WWFM on May 4th. The new episode of The Podcache Show is now available to download. http://thepodcacheshow.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/the-podcache-show-episode-eighteen.html
In our latest episode we speak to Paul Collins of The Geocache Tourist website and Richard Harrison about the Lincs Monthly Meet trip he organised to Saddleworth Moor. The Amasons join Ye Olde Boilers to attempt a series on Lincoln's South Common and Pete hunts for a multi cache that hasn't been found for over a year. Pete and Tracey embark on an epic days caching which nets our 900th find and we consider re-naming the show 'When Animals Go Wild' after a run-in with stampeding horses and hunting dogs.
