Title: Items inside caches
Post by: Griff Grof on May 26, 2015, 06:59:03 pm
Bought some items to place inside the caches of my new series today. I think it'll great to have them well-stocked  :)

But then I began to wonder, is there a point any more with people not following the 'trade with equal or greater value' rule?  ??? :(

E.g. the ammo box on my Westcote Wander series was basically empty when I last checked it, and those of you who found it early on may remember that there were quite a few things inside it.

I think it's a shame, as (for me) rummaging through larger caches, in particular, always used to be part of the excitement. Obviously this is still the case with newly published caches, but ones which are barely a couple of years old, I have found, are already virtually empty - and so there is nothing worth trading, hence why I rarely find myself doing so  :( It's a shame, as the items are originally bought at the CO's expense, so something of equal value should indeed always remain in the cache.

What are your thoughts on this?

I don't trade any more, not done so for some time now.

I know there are some very generous CO but as wrighty has found and now you, some cachers aren't trading, just taking :(
