Title: Plastic ammo cans
Post by: Griff Grof on May 24, 2015, 09:54:09 am
Has anyone seen these online?

E.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Official-Ammo-Can-Cache-with-Geocaching-Logbook-and-Pencil-/171789106264?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27ff6dbc58 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Official-Ammo-Can-Cache-with-Geocaching-Logbook-and-Pencil-/171789106264?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27ff6dbc58)

Don't particularily like them... although they do have their benefits, and they're still ammo cans!

Has anyone found one yet? It's almost a shame that it seems that GS are promoting/selling these, almost as replacements for proper ammo cans  :(

Thank you for highlighting, I have not heard of them before. Would have to see and feel one to pass judgement on them. Don't know if they are cheaper elsewhere, but for the price being asked for on that ebay link I would probably prefer original ammo cans over them as they can be picked up for less than that amount.

I just noticed that, have just looked around and they seem to be around £20 everywhere  :o

Three 'proper' ammo cans, fiver each.

Having a clear out in the garden and found three ammo cans. They are the large size ones and were for planned caches which failed for permission issues. Forgot all about them!! They need a bit of a clean up and a coat of paint but if you want them for a fiver each e-mail. May be able to deliver as drive Bedford to Liverpool weekly if you are along the M1and M6.

£20 for plastic ammo cans :o :o :o Has the 'shop' got big windows ::)

I use ammo cans when you need something a bit more rugged where plastic just gets broken.

Talking about ammo cans, does anyone know any good local army surplus shops which sells non-plastic ones?  :D  ???
