There is one particular thing that could of been done by the CO of this cache that could of avoided all of this. Can you guess what I am thinking of?

A little of what B&R suggests. Probably not a good idea suggested by WT :D All I was thinking was the CO could of just hidden it a lot better, be that make it smaller, or more preferably hide it inside a hollowed bit of wood or put tree bark around it for example, so that it is only spotted with a thorough search.
Edit: I haven't seen the posts on the Groundspeak forum, I guess they are not in the usual places I gander through. I will have a look though.
