Welcome to Izzy
« on: July 29, 2012, 05:31:36 pm »
Hello  ;D

Welcome to CacheWalker , Izzy  ;D

This is the online home to a group of cachers who prefer caching by byway, not highway! We discuss Geocaching topics daily, share walking routes, and a whole lot more! We're not particularly a regional forum, but most of our members are based in the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire/Warwickshire, and we often hold events in that area - we'd love to meet you at one!  :)

Feel free to post any questions you may have, and Enjoy  ;D

A proper welcome from me, Izzy, of Izzy and the Lizard King  ;D That's the auto welcome configuration, so not quite so personal  :D

Wow! That was quick, GG Thanks  ;D

For anyone who is interested, I am the younger half of "Izzy and The Lizard King" (but only just younger!  ;))
We live in Wolverhampton but prefer to cache in Shropshire. Although we have been caching since Jan 2005, we have only found just over 2300 caches (which is peanuts compared to some folk we know who have been caching for just one or two years!!!) In our defence  ;) we are not interested in numbers - for us "location, location, location" is our main motivation for choosing which caches to go for.

I spend quite a bit of time an the West Midlands Regional Forum, where I am one of the mods. I reckon I've got quite a bit of catching up to do on here to get up to speed  ;)

Perhaps I had better warn everyone - I am very slow at typing, so that's why GG got in before I had finished my last post  :) but thanks very much for the welcome, Griff  :D

Well, this seems very much like "the return of the prodigal daughter"!  ;)

I had very much missed the West Midlands Regional Geocaching Forum, joined a facebok group (which I just got more and more frustrated with for several reasons, so I left) Happily, I rediscovered this site this morning   ;D
Have I got some catching up to do!  :o

Izzy!  ;D How have you been?

I've really missed the WM forum too, such a shame Ian shut it down with no notice... I made several good geo-friends there, such as yourself, but I've still only met very few - can you come along to our event tomorrow (http://coord.info/GC4TQBW), it would be great to finally meet you!  :)

Finally... A big Welcome back!! from me ;D

Hi GG  :D
We would love to come BUT unfortunately, I am at work all day tomorrow and Paul (The Lizard King) who does the driving is laid low with 'flu  :( I will keep on the lookout for future events though, and feel certain that we will meet eventually. We love your neck of the woods - in fact one of our most memorable caching excursions was in The Cotswolds a couple of years back.

Ah, that's a shame, but as you said, I'm sure we will meet eventually  :D I hope Paul feels better soon!

Ooh, that's interesting - what series was it?

Actually, it wasn't a series, it was a selection of hand picked stand alone caches. We decided to return for your Snowshill series when we book in for an overnight stay somewhere in the future
