Hi to all - thanks for the (automated!) welcome.

Live in Berkeley, Gloucestershire and have been caching since 2009. After the initial addiction of rushing out and grabbing every cache going, soon settled into planning walks (of up to 20 miles) by either following a recognised series or by creating one around a string of ad hoc caches which I could make into a decent walk (Memory-Map is my best friend). I see that I've already done a couple on the CacheWalker Map - Avening Circular, Cotswold Lions...

Generally walk with a group of friends, one of whom is a cacher, the others being geo-sympathetic to my/our cause. Four of us completed the Cotswold Way in 2011 when I was allowed to cache en route... so long as the cache was on or just off the path!

I love this idea of combining caching and walking and am looking forward to reading about suggested walks, experiences, etc and (once I've got my act together) will post details of good (and bad!) walks in Gloucestershire.

Cheers

Welcome to CacheWalker @byatis  :)

Thanks for your enthusiasm, it would be great if you could share a few walks if you have the time!

Feel free to join in the discussion (as you already have!  :) ) - we have been VERY busy at times but it's always around this time of year when things quieten down  :-\ They'll pick up as we near our Twixmas event in December  ;)
