Will Major Tom be back... again?
« on: April 02, 2013, 05:50:39 pm »
I completed parts of both the original and current series, and was sad to notice that Major Tom has taken off again, due to tree damage in the area  :'( Glad the rest of the series is still there though, we would have done it all at the time of release (October 2010) but I became unwell on the walk and we never got round to it again. But was hoping to finish it off and pick up the (now lost) clues from the already found caches (more than half the series!) and find the Major, sometime in the next couple of months.

He's been gone before, and then he came back... but the question now is - Will he be back... again?

I hope so.

It was pressure from a reviewer that led to it being archived.

It really is a mess where the Major was hidden, one of the nearby Beech trees had snapped in half and landed on the tree the cache was hidden and causing considerable damage to that one, glad no one was looking for it at the time.

Went up sunday but still none of it had been cleared.

Yes, and like you said, the chances would be that as soon as it were active again, they'd arrive to clear the area up  :-\

You could always move the cache and get the reviewer to un-archive it when you're ready?

It was a cracking walk and really looking forward to doing it as a whole  ;D

Ahh, I do think that area already has too many caches  :-\ Thanks for letting us in on the secret though  :)

And yes, #5 is one of the ones I am concerned about  :-\

I feel so stupid - RK12, I couldn't find the log book, and after my comment everyone is saying "Not hard for me"  :D

Griff. I am a bit mystified by RK12, there was a trophy that it looks as though you had to dismantle to find the log. But I found the log in the cache box and the trophy didn't appear to be anything other than a ......trophy
