The Lab caches... something to discuss in a separate thread I feel. But whilst it is mentioned here, I haven't found any of the ones set up for Megas as I have only been to one Mega. Originally I thought that was what they were going to be for, at least to begin with. I also understood "wrongly" how they would work. I thought they would be like a cross between Munzees and temporary caches. Like Munzees in that you would need to be at a specific location to be able to log them, and temporary caches in that they would be set only for a short period. Only the later seems to be the case. If both ideas I have just written had been combined then it would stop people for the most part getting the codes and logging them. But... oh well. I enjoyed setting
the one lab cache I hid for Yorkshire Yellow, and loved going to hunt down the lab cache he hid for me which has now been hidden again as trad for all to find.
Groundpeak just need to get their act together with what they are going to do with these properly, including the stats. Grrr. Anyways, back on topic...
I have only found the 1 Lab cache, and count it as a find. I will be very upset if Groundspeak ever do a 'Challenge cache wipe out' on them.
I have 2 YOSM finds, I count them both as finds. I don't actively search them out, but the two I have found were in very different locations and I enjoyed them muchly.
Separately, but sort of related to this topic, I do not log 'attends' on events hosted by myself, and so do not get any finds for those. I am in a very small minority as far as that practice, and have to say I have no quibbles with anyone who does the opposite as events seem to be treated quite different to normal trads
