I went and did the same walk yesterday evening with Roxy. I think you had the better day weather wise, but I still enjoyed it.

Yesterday really...

Have decided to try to get more than one cache a day (Stats and all that!  :D)

Managed FIVE caches yesterday, and have run GSAK to find I've managed a new record (for me!) of 5 Counties in a day, and 4 States in a day.
(And all with no planning to do so  ;))

Previous record was 2006 with 3 Counties and  3 States in a day.

* Not bad, considering I was working, and not caching.  :D

Well done! The most counties I have found in one day is two I think, but that's without trying as I live right on the border of two.

Today I found a cache today that I DNF'd a couple of days ago. Managed to find because walktall arrived on the scene the next day and he has super powers which let him sniff caches out at 300'. Honest ;D

I also investigated a hole. Because there was hole. Wallsend (no demolition required!)

Previous:
Most States in a day:
3 (West Midlands, Southern England, East Midlands.) on 24/09/2006

Most Counties in a day:
3 (Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, ) on 12/02/2006

New:
Most States in a day:
4 (South East England, Eastern England, Southern England, West Midlands.) on 24/04/2015

Most Counties in a day:
5 (Hampshire, Surrey, Essex, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire.) on 24/04/2015

As I'm bottom part of Warwickshire, bordering Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire, not too difficult t get 3 counties. (As you say!)

I see the CO has now disabled it to move it from the dry stone wall to a better location and hopefully with correct co-ordinates :)

On one of my long routes to a Mega, I managed 6 Counties in a day: Central, Strathclyde, Dumfries_and_Galloway, Northumberland, Cumbria, Highland on 26/07/2010 ;D

That's impressive. I would be over the moon if I managed 6 local villages in a day :)

Anyone have any caching plans for today? I am not sure if I will have much time to go out today. The massive Lechlade duck race is on I think, but we did that last year.

Did a couple of trads near Thornbury on Saturday. xJammmzy had Rooster72s Meryl TB whilst paintballing before I took it back again to go for a walk to to drop in a cache whilst I let him and his friends continue their games.

Feeling quite chuffed with myself for finding a cache today that hasn't had a find in over 3 years. It's on TC so not everyone may be able to see. Lambourn Valley Way.

Brilliant walk today in the sun  :)

Around 8 miles in the area I have in mind for my new series. Now have the route finalised and several locations for caches identified, including a couple of Church Micro's... now to sort the containers and return to the area soon  ;D

Now to decide which to archive: Westcote Wander or Snowshill Scramble?  :(

Please don't archive WW quite yet - I still need to do it (possibly in 3-4 weeks time).

Okay, I'll keep that in mind  :)

I'm probably inclined towards keeping WW anyway, although whichever I keep will have a couple of troublesome caches archived anyway - i.e. ones which go missing/get broken roughly every year  :o :D
