@walktall, sure I can let you have a copy of the macro, I haven't uploaded it to the GSAK master list as I seem to remember there was some code in it specific to me, but I need to check, if you can send me an email through my geocaching profile then I can reply and attach the file, if there is anything that needs editing within the macro I can let you know what it is in the email too.

Don't you just hate that:

  • You walk round for an hour collecting the info for a multi cache
  • Work out the co-ordinates
  • Go there and find they take you to some ones private back garden
  • No time to walk round to find which one you got wrong

Grrrrrrrr :(

Sounds annoying @walktall!

Which Multi was it?

It was Churchdown Family Multi and now having checked it, I see why I got one digit (I think) wrong.

The additional waypoints have slightly different wording of the questions to that in the main description and I was using the additional waypoints to navigate and use to see the questions.

The one that got me was Q3:

The main description says: "How many windows in the row ABOVE the shop fronts? = B"
Additional waypoint says: "How many windows in a row above the shop fronts? = B"

Because the waypoint question said "in a row", I took that to be some windows that were right next to each other in a row, rather than, how many windows above all the shops.

I will be emailing the CO to correct the questions in the waypoints, so they are the same as the main description. Q5 has this issue as well.

Update: email sent to CO :)

*groan* Sounds like a Harry Hill joke  :D

Great photos walktall! I only had a glance at the sky before disappearing under the ground for a few hours, not for caching though, just a relaxing potter in some passages not visited before.

Good walk in Sherborne Park and there's now three caches to find as well.  Sherborne Family Fun Walk #1 Deer Sculpture, it was about a 2.8 mile circular walk.

Sherborne Brook

South side of Sherborne Park, walking back to the brook

Great photos! I have been stuck in work all day :( Will look forward to doing those few sometime soon. With the warmer weather coming it should be fun to take an evening stroll and do a bit of bat watching. They have some roosting in some of the old buildings, and a small underground quarry in the woods is an official bat roost.

Entrances..

Peering into one entrance. It's possible to just about squeeze in, but not permitted..
