The Somerset Well Rounded Cacher (GC22QHC)
« on: January 30, 2015, 11:48:31 am »
I have written a GSAK macro so you can check your qualification for The Somerset Well Rounded Cacher (GC22QHC). As @walktall successfully used this I have now decided to release it into the public domain, it can be downloaded using the link below:

The Somerset Well Rounded Cacher (GC22QHC)

Then you can install it into your GSAK in the normal way.

Any questions or comments please post them on the GSAK forum topic (the link above) so I can keep any issues/fixes all in one place.

Thank you   ;D

I don't know if I'll ever complete the challenge.

I mean, it will be completed when I fill in what's left of my grid, though I won't be able to claim the cache  ;)

Having said that, I don't know if it'd be a good idea to register just in case before I cover these more obscure D/T types  ???

@Griff Grof - you have to register and the sooner the better, as your Challenge D/T grid starts with nothing on it, at point of registering. You CAN NOT use previous finds that were found before the date you registered.

I've registered  :o

Luckily, if all goes to plan, I'll be starting with some more unique D/T combos since it'll be my focus through the summer  :)

As I said in my log: it's so annoying since I saw this cache way back in 2010 when I was new to caching, but didn't register.

Glad to see you have registered your intent  ;D I enjoyed the challenge, just the last challenge now, being able to get to the cache ::)

Have you seen where the cache is hidden by the way, it's not a simple hide :)

@walktall, yes, I have - I see that before attempting to find it, you first need to find the equiptment needed  :o

It'll probably take me a few years to complete though  ;)

A great macro @gaz_zippy! It easily confirms what I thought, which is that I am still only just half way to completing this though I started it in June 2011 :-[

Registered my intent. Once my exams are over in May, I may (or may not) have a good crack at completing the challenge.

Ropes and torches are needed to find the actual cache when you are finished :)

I know some here would see that as a further incentive to complete the challenge  ::)

For this reason, and with the macro @gaz_zippy has made to make it easy to see our progress, my interest in the challenge has been re-sparked. I hadn't actually looked what was needed for the final before now, completing the challenge has seemed so far away.

Registered my intent. Once my exams are over in May, I may (or may not) have a good crack at completing the challenge.

Same, I am trying to find as many caches as I can over the next month to get nearer to 2,000. Then, after exams (as I will have to restrict how many I can find) I will focus on a few special D/T caches, hopefully the On Tour event will help with that  :)

Hopefully I can complete the northern GCW ring tomorrow, it's meant to be sunny but there's also heavy snow forecasted overnight for the area (but they keep changing their minds  ::) )

Well done @walktall  :)

Any idea as to when you'll find it?
