Spreading the word.
« on: December 31, 2012, 10:19:17 pm »
Seeing the Cachewalker banner at the Twixmas event reminded me that we actually had a table/stall at the first mega event in Harrogate.I think it created some interest and since then the caching community has grown so maybe we could do the same at the 2013 mega.

Whats your thoughts.

Yes that's a good idea  :)

I've tried spreading the word across the Internet, dropping slips about us around events, all of which have brought in more interest, but having a stand would really help spread the word  :) I think it's a good idea   ;D

I missed the Harrogate Mega but as we know, 2013's Mega is on our door step so seems a very good idea, especially as we've invited them to raise money at our Events :)

Sounds like a plan, although I would actually question (after yesterday) if we need to be any bigger.

Put my name down to help if I am not on Scout summer camp which is normally 1st week of August.

So we have a 'side' Event for the Mega week :)

Would have to be a classic CacheWalker i.e. a walk and new caches before the Event and to save heart ache (dare I say it) a picnic Event :o :)

OMG it would be like the Geolympix Flash Mob all in a river - if THAT baffled the locals at 0800 what would they think in this case  :D

Great idea walk tall! Who wants to talk to the committee about all this?  :D

Personally I am sitting somewhere in the middle. I think we could do a stall at the Mega (what are we hoping to achieve?). If we do any sort of event it needs to be along the lines of a Flash Mob, so no issues with cramming people in, collecting money, sorting raffles, weather etc. etc.
