Mega - 500+ attendees

Giga event - 5000+ attendees

So Wales has a bit to go to become a Giga!

Yes, but how many Will Attends for Groundspeak to upgrade it to Giga status?

The next Giga (originally published as a Mega) is 'only' at 3,500 Will Attends, and has been Giga for a few months now.

So probably around 2000?

Only in the 700's :o Would have thought a lot higher than that now it's got the Maze. Would be great if it went Giga but do they want it to go Giga? That's a lot of people all in one place in a small town ::)

From Giga-Event Classification (GS)

Quote
8. Giga-Events must demonstrate that they will reach 5000 attendees before they will be upgraded from Mega-Event status. New events will be required to surpass 4000 Will Attend logs before they are considered for Giga-Event status. Events with history will be evaluated based on a minimum of 3000 Attended logs from the previous year as well as a combination the current year's Will Attend logs, factors such as location changes, history, and date changes.

Accomo very limited and I think I saw limited electrical hook-up left for campers may have something to do with it...
The two Giga's I've been to had facilities that could easily cope with 7K, especially Munich, Llangollen won't know whats hit it  :D
