Memory Lane & Wonders of the World
« on: June 01, 2020, 05:18:16 pm »
New souvenir campaign!

"From June 1 through January 3, earn up to five souvenirs by logging geocaches to move forward on the game board. Log your finds by January 6, 2021 to earn souvenirs."

More info here.

Seems fairly straightforward, and not much of a challenge... but maybe that's not a bad thing, considering the circumstances.

Sounds a bit of fun to get us out and caching again as lockdown eases. Thanks for putting this on Cachewalker Griff Grof - we weren't aware of it.

We had planned to do a small series along a canal yesterday till rain stopped play!

We have noted an increase in cachers going round both our series in the last week or so, so people are beginning to get out and about more now.

I agree, lots of people are out caching. So many caches are being published!

Personally, I’ve only found one (very local) cache since lockdown restrictions were eased, and I’ve decided to postpone the publication of my new series until this is over.

So I’m glad that we have until January to complete Memory Lane  :D

I keep checking for missing FTF's on my calendar dates and see lots of new caches but they aren't being published on the correct dates or a bit far away  ;) :D

Completed these souvenirs with just a bit of normal caching this month, not much of a challenge :(

We did a small series last week and got 3 of the souvenirs without realizing it!

I haven't even got the first one yet, as I haven't found any this month due to the situation :'(

We have now got all 5 souvenirs - without trying - as walktall says - not much of a challenge!

How many do you have to get for Wonders of the World? We got 3 a few days ago without knowing about it - not sure if that is the complete lot or not.

I did a local series a few weeks ago and bagged the first set of Wonders of the World without realising. Then went to London on the 1st Sep, with a specific list of old caches to find and would have bagged the second set but had a DNF on the last cache :(

Did a FTF run yesterday and got the last one, so have completed Wonders of the World without trying. Still don't understand what the point is, as I didn't try to collect the sets, it just happened  ???

How many do you have to get for Wonders of the World?

There are severn in each: Modern Wonders and Ancient Wonders but you have to complete Modern Wonders first, before you can collect the Ancient Wonders.

Thanks Walk Tall - need to do some more caching, but not know if its worth the effort as they seem to pop up as log the caches we have found!
