Goodbye Kildanes
« on: April 01, 2012, 03:54:07 pm »
Lots of goodbyes from me today  :o Don't worry I'm not leaving - but my favorite series by me, Kildanes, sadly is...

Unfortunately, after two long years, it's time to put this series to bed.

Thank you to all who visited, and we're glad that you enjoyed this walk, which is very special to us. Thank you for all your lovely logs, favorite points, and uploaded images. Every one has made us smile, and it has been a pleasure sharing this walk with you.

The series has been through a lot, firstly being archived due to permission... but then, brought back and enjoyed for another 15 months. Now, we just feel it is time to turn the page, and begin a new chapter.

With all good things, there's a beginning and an end - we hope this little gem of a series will never be forgotten, and remember the walk is still there to enjoy.

We have decided to leave the ones along the road, to still bring people to the area. Might leave #3 too, as it was my first hide.

Yes all the locals have a go at your caches but I notice with mine, I still get regular visits, just from cachers from further a field ;D

Yes, me too, Westcote had some visitors who say they live an hour away today - they said they came just for the series  ;D

The series was archived today, and am about to make the short walk across some fields to uplift the containers  :'(

Wacky races and I have left #1, #2, #9 and #8 active, as they could be done as drive by caches, and they will still bring people to the lovely area. We have also decided to leave #3, as it was my first hide, and that valley means too much to me for it not to have a cache to take people there.

Thank you for understanding, the reason of its archiving will remain unknown, but we did also feel it was time to turn a page - and who knows, maybe someone else will place some caches there?

Thank you to all who found them!
