GC1Y9P4 - Alphabet Soup - Yorkshire
« on: November 17, 2013, 08:43:55 pm »
Bit bored this afternoon and while thinking about the Dr Who Event next week-end, I looked at unowho67's profile and saw the reference to Alphabet Soup.  To claim it finds from A to Z are required then a find at the actual cache which is just NE of Leeds.

So, looking back from 01.09.09 I find that we have all the letters needed except for X and Z.  I remembered that wrighty had a Ziggy cache so that letter was covered (don't archive it please!) but X was more of a problem until I came across Xtrailer's Xtrailer's Trail 1 (GC3H0H2) in the same direction and not far too from Ziggys cache (GC138P2) so when those are in the bag we'll potter up to Yorkshire to do the cache, probably in a roundabout way to seeing L's family near Bury.

Anyone else having a go at this or something similar?

Looking at my physical cache finds since 1st Sept 2009, I've got missing just 'Z' but I've already found Ziggy before this date for this Alphabet Soup cache

Yorkshire is a bit far but I should be in Wakefield around Boxing day, not sure I will have the time to get to this cache, if I've found a 'Z' by then.

OK then - what about:

  • adding 0-9 to the list of cache names, or
  • A-Z for cache placers name, or
  • even more tricky A-Z & 0-9 for cache placers name  ;D

This is one series I am desperate to do!

Unfortunately, I was looking at #1 the other day - it's in a poor state, and the CO is no longer active  :'(

For X, try "X IN SEARCH OF SPACE" http://coord.info/GC4QEGW.

I think I'm there, apart from Q, so need to go and find "Quackers!" http://coord.info/GC2R0MY.

A similar one down south, except the caches all have to be puzzle caches to qualify:

Alphabet Puzzle Challenge
