Earthcaches
« on: October 11, 2015, 03:01:55 pm »
As today's International Earthcache Day, let's celebrate by sharing our favourite Earthcache and our dream Earthcache to find.

I'll start off - so many favourites, but I'll go for Geological S'Agaró as it's set in such a beautiful location, and it was really great to view all the features first-hand.

Dream one? There are about 100 I've bookmarked for when I get a chance to go to Iceland This one in Guyana would be great to find, someday.  :)

I do love Earthcaches, so I'll probably add more favourites to this thread later.

If any you've found today are great, share them too!

I'd also be tempted to add any of your favourites to the To Do list!  :)

Earthcaches?

Going/gone off them!

Too much reading.
Cache owners try to 'jazz up' the listing...
Try reading it on a phone. 3 words to a line, 5 lines to a page. And do the images show? Do they *%$^!
I have a Geocaching problem...
Work gets in the way!

Well, I didn't "find" one today. I was going to drive up to your one Griff, but it will have to wait for another day now.

My favourite done so far is Below Above - The Treacle Mine. Whilst it is a slightly jokey Earth Cache, one of the examples of the treacle flow is absolutely spectacular. I am glad those who have posted photos from the quarry have not included it, to do so would spoil it greatly.

I can't see me getting there any time soon, but Hang Sung Sot (Cave of Surprises) is on my fantasy todo list.
