Unexpected FTF in Italy this afternoon. What makes it extra special is that the cache was published almost two years ago! :o

It was completely unplanned. We were just in the area and I checked the app to see if there were any caches. I was pleasantly surprised to see a blank log!

Cache is GC67555, super views from GZ!

Wow - how lucky are you! Was it a difficult one to access, or just a very remote area?

Well done ;D

I don't normally get chance to look to see if there's an unfound cache while away, only managed one in Spain due to so few caches in the area.

It wasn't particularly hard to access, it was just up a viewpoint and there were quite a few people around. I think what I've gathered is that there are few/no local cachers in this part of Italy. Lots of the caches I've found were last found last year and there are hardly any around anyway.

Found two of three caches looked for this morning. Finding just a couple more by this time tomorrow might even just get me the Adrenaline Junkie souvenir  ;D Have to say I don't feel pumped on adrenaline, but it does feel good to have actually found a couple as I have struggled with some of the recent hides by new cachers around Cirencester, even though they should be easy ones.

Saw an Earth cache published in Cheltenham The Neptune Fountain and still needed a FTF for the month and today was a no FTF date, so decided to go for it even though Cheltenham is a busy cachers location and is a 30 minute drive away.

What a warm mid-October day and some sun in the afternoon 8) Straight forward Earth cache, emailed CO from GZ and then posted a log not knowing if I was FTF, asked CO to confirm. CO got back to me, saying I was first to send email, so FTF  ;D ;D ;D

And then I see it's International Earth cache weekend, so even more lucky to get the FTF and a bonus getting the Souvenir (not that I'm into Souvenir) ::)

PS The Earth cache was also my first find in October  :o

Well done walktall! Had a few emails come through of logs on that that Earth Cache. Haven't worked out why I have so many mails coming through about earth Caches, must have clicked something somewhere on the website, but gives me something to read.

I found 5 caches today, which doesn't sound like much, but it's more than I have found on one day for while. Thought I had struck lucky on a couple of FTFs, but although no logs online when I set out, at least one of them @btco had beat me to. Need to step up my game  :D

Picked up the Gloucester Cathedral virtual today after picking up a puzzle and a multi yesterday around the docks area. First visit to this area and enjoyed it very much.

Went out early this morning after dropping my better half off at work. Planned to obtain some photos to log a couple of TC LCs, but failed. The book exchange in the telephone box at Shipton Moyne was empty. The church in the same village where I hoped to view their hand bells was locked up. I did get to find the church micro there though, and also another nearby by, and although it was a very cold start to the day the sunshine was glorious.. so can't complain  :)
