OS maps
« on: May 16, 2013, 12:09:28 pm »
I apologise for asking what may be a completely stupid question but I am not very computer savvy.

I have OS maps on my Oregon (on a micro SD card), is there any way I can use these maps on an iphone?

I would not have thought so, there is a free alternative, you could use the free app named 'Outside' (also available on iPad) that will show your position on the OS map, but obviously this will be dependent on having a 3G signal to download the maps etc...

There are some 'fun' maps settings you can view, like historic maps, those kept me entertained for a few minutes finding out about old horse racing tracks I never knew existed in a place now occupied by a raised section of the M6!
