On the picnic, I would leave it that people do what they want; I think most people would at least bring a snack to have on top before heading off to cache or back down. You just don't know what the weather will be like, even if it's hot & sunny, there is no cover on top so you wouldn't want to stay too long.

I agree with your comments on the picnic.
Think I'll take a look at the map later and choose a couple of routes we could do, with the official event at the top which others may access differently. Will try and pass most of the few caches

Good point! Although won't the World Cup have finished by then? Could make some sort of reference to it being in legacy of it, though!
I'm happy to carry on sorting out nitty gritty details and go on to do the event page etc, but, admittedly, I have never been there and so if someone else wants to take over with their greater knowledge then that's fine too
