We have just sent our details to Hogshunter for the GPX file, we certainly won't be hunting for them in advance, we are not really into FTF's

We have done the walk this week - to check all is OK with the caches. Just to give you the heads up - parts of the route are very muddy - so good footwear needs to be worn.

Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.  Have a safe journey. Jenny and George

All the snow and ice has now gone here. The weather forecast for tomorrow morning is: sunny - 7/8/9 °C  - but windy 18/19. It may rain in the afternoon.

I haven’t logged my Will Attend yet. I’m definitely planning to come, although I’m trying to be sure of my transport arrangements as getting a lift with my family is not completely certain tomorrow.

@Hogshunters - are you still planning to hold a raffle? CacheWalker has £42.26 left over from previous raffles so I think it would make sense to spend this on the hall hire. However, it’s completely up to you, you might want to hold the raffle anyway - after all, it’s nice to have money left over for other events e.g. skittles evenings which have a hire cost but typically no raffle.

I’ll promote the event online again today  :)

Hi Griff Grof - pleased to hear you are going to come over for the event - hope your transport works out for you.

Yes there is to be a secret Santa raffle - we have got raffle tickets for it, and hoping people will bring wrapped prizes for it - it is i the 'write up' for the event. It will be good to boost the funds for Cachewalker for other events etc.

Thanks for promoting the event on social media for us - we don't do any of that stuff. I think there are about 17 will attends ATM.

See you tomorrow.

Great!

Might be worth posting an ‘Announcement’ log (select it under Log Type, it’ll be grouped with Will Attend/Attended/Write Note) to remind people to bring wrapped gifts if they can. It would also be worth mentioning the time the caches will be published (so people can put them on their GPS) and/or letting them know that they can contact you if they want to be sent the GPX file.

An Announcement log is emailed to all who have logged a Will Attend, so everyone should see it
