I only enquired, but they've booked it for us  :)

They said it's a £25 deposit, then the rest to be paid after the event has taken place.

Do we want the hall for 4 hours or 5 hours? Maybe 5?

Lets go for five.

I'm thinking 10-3 rather than 9-2?

10- -3 with the walk starting at 10.30 which should only take a couple of hours as there wont be hundreds of caches.

Will get the official booking form and payment sent off tomorrow/Friday hopefully.

Next step, the event page. Is everyone happy for me to do this? I don't mind, the only thing is that I'm a little busy at the moment, but I can find time for it.

Do we call it Twixmas 2015 (for continuity and familiarity) or Twinew - Happy New Year 2016 or ??

We need to finalise activities too ideally before publishing the event - raffle, could have late Secret Santa etc. Ideas?

Went to Condicote today to take a photo for the event page.

Hall looks nice.

Just wondering - should we put a limit on the number of attendees? Hall website says 80 but I reckon that's when people are sat at long tables for proper meals etc. I could ask how many they think we could fit around tables like we have had in the past.

Or we could just leave it  :)

Are you allowed to limit normal event attendee numbers?

Have we ever had 80 people at a Twixmas - I would just go with the flow :)

I agree with walktall.

As for the event itself there is no need to try and organize too much so i would not worry about a secret santa. A raffle should be enough and you could ask for donated prizes wrapped up to make it more interesting.

Sent the event to the reviewer  :)

Tried to word the pre-event walk section a little differently. We'll see if they pick up on it this time!  ::)

Have a box full of assorted caches ready to go,now to see if i can get them all in my rucksack and hopefully be out that way again tomorrow.

There is also a good opportunity for someone to do a Fine Pair cache and a Church Micro in the village.

Great news, very exciting - hope the weather's good for you!  :)

Have suggested on the cache page that there could be a couple of new caches in the village, so hopefully we can place those two.

Called it "CacheWalker Twinew Bash 2016" in case anyone was wondering - can amend if suggested - the Happy New Year part made the event title two lines on my screen, so I removed it just before submitting.

As Condicote is local for me, I can place odd caches like CM or fine pair, unless someone has a burning wish to do so? :)

I believe you CAN limit the number of attendees.
The halls maximum number permitted would be the reason!

How many are they allowed by their Fire Regulations? (Seated/standing/or other)

It's the Elf'ffin Safety Brigade thing.  ::)  :D
