CacheWalker SuperBike Challenge 2015
Site Admin:
This is the place for all discussion (unless you think your point deserves its own topic) for the
CacheWalker SuperBike Challenge (CWSBC) 2015
The race will begin at 0:00 on 1st January (2nd), and will end on 24th December 2015 at 0:00 (25th)
The SuperBike which travels the furthest will be declared the winner!
The Rules:
* The race is on until midnight December 24th 2015 (i.e. any logs which Groundspeak dates 25/12/15 will be ignored)
* The SuperBike with the most miles on this date will be declared the 2015 Championship Winner at the 2015 Twixmas Bash
* CacheWalkers may not move their own SuperBikes along
* Therefore, TBs must be dropped & collected by different cachers (if moved on by the same Cacher only the FIRST jump will be counted, regardless of 'Visited' or 'Dropped Off' log, any subsequent logs by the same cacher will not be counted
* Discover/Visited logs do not count
* The owner of the SuperBike must not be present with the cacher who's moving it IF they both visit the same cache together for the drop.
* CacheWalkers can only have ONE TB each in the race (unless a couple/family are wishing to have their own)
* If your SuperBike goes missing YOU ARE OUT OF THE RACE - you cannot re-release another SuperBike with your copy tag as part of this year's race.
The official TB-run page for the race is now up and running here - CWSBC 2015
How to join the race:
Please email admin@cachewalker.co.uk or Griff Grof with the public Travel Bug ID (TBxxxx), that you find on the 'details' page of your TB on Geocaching.com (please do not use the secret TB code that is printed on the tag) - you will be promptly added to the race.
There no limit for the number of participants.
Please note, you can only take part if your TB has a SuperBike attached to it! (If you weren't at Twixmas but would still like to take part please let Griff Grof know as he has a couple of spare bikes, or strongsRus who have several more!)
Therefore, you can still request to take part after the start date, but the sooner the better/further!
Please name your SuperBike in this format: CWSBC 2015 - [your caching name]
Let the race (and discussion) begin - 3,2,1... GO!
Y6GST:
If I want to reuse an old TB do I need to delete all of the logs for it, or will the mileage only be calculated from when the race starts?
Griff Grof:
I'm pretty sure that it won't count any milage before the start date.
You could try :)
Y6GST:
Looks like it will start from zero so that is good, I will make sure the first move gets recorded correctly.
Y6GST:
I uploaded a new image of my Superbike (with stabilisers...) to replace Paul Scholes, I selected make this the default image on upload, then deleted the old Paul Scholes photo, although on the TB race page Paul Scholes is still showing, any ideas as it looks a bit odd?
