Nothing to do with this years race but a bit of info on the bikes that entered the first race back in 2008.

The Toadnets(remember him?)is still going strong and is in Canada at the mo and has travelled 36,811 miles. Also still going is the Lydford Locators bike and is in Norway at this time.Mr And Mrs wrightys were still travelling last year but have not been seen in the last caches they were placed in.

As for Schnarfs,Bikermels,Midnight Ramblers,Csi Wellesbourne,Dobunnis and both L8HNBs it seems they have crashed and burned.

I missed this too  :o Thanks for the background info Wrighty   ;D

Obviously more valuable than a smurf.

Unless the smurf was riding the bike and he lost it somewhere.

Yes. Within a couple of logs you could be at 1000s of miles ahead of everyone else (if they drop it abroad  :D )

Last year Mine got moving two months after tarmacjohns and was lagging behind him until it got dropped off in Italy, and I was 750 miles ahead of him  :P

A lot can happen in a year!  ;D

I get the general impression that there has not been a whole lot of cache finding going on around my area of late, probably because of weather, although this weekend did seem to be a bit busier. My bike was picked up and now has a few miles on ;D

Yes. Good to see TJ's bike is moving again, after more than 100 days  :o

Mine is still stuck in a 4/5 cache which doesn't get found often  :(
